COOL OFF THIS SUMMER AT BELLA MINA
I love tropical weather, so summer is my favorite season — and a big part of that is because I love the feeling of cooling off on a hot sunny day! Going to the river with my dogs, having a swim in the lake, or just sitting outside on my patio with a cold drink while the dogs splash around in their little doggie pool — it makes me wish we had longer summers!
I wanted to bring some of that cooling-off to Bella Mina, so I created this season’s Summer Specials with that in mind.
So, I have the perfect services to book on a hot summer’s day. If you’re looking for relaxation and pain relief, the Express Cool-Down Massage targets areas of concern with cooling Kwan Loong Oil. Kwan Loong Oil is a powerful pain reliever with menthol, wintergreen, spike lavender and eucalyptus and you’ll feel its cooling effects immediately. These essential oils will sink in and keep you cool the rest of the day; Kwan Loong oil is available for purchase so you can stay pain-free and cool this summer. Bella Mina’s Warm & Cool Stone Massage soothes achy muscles, stimulates and then calms the nervous system, numbs pain and reduces inflammation with warm basalt stones and cool marble stones bathed in ice water. You can choose the ratio of warm and cool stones, so we can use all cool stones (if you can handle that much cool-down!) or just a couple.
For an express massage with a lovely summer scent, book a Grapefruit Mint Head Neck & Shoulder Massage. Peppermint oil relieves headaches and helps clear the sinuses if you’re suffering from allergies this season, while grapefruit oil improves energy and vitality levels.
For facials, Bella Mina’s Glacial Facial with Earth Harbor’s Glow On Fruit Peel Mask with white willow bark and aloe vera extract cools, soothes and nourishes, while Eye Gel Mask straight from the fridge reduces puffiness and swelling. Or, book a Cooling Gua Sha Facial and enjoy the anti-gravity effects of cool Gua Sha facial massage tools for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, combined with Earth Harbor’s sea mineral products. Both facials include minimal steam and warm & cool towels. Earth Harbor’s Eclipse SPF 30 moisturizes, provides antioxidants and vitamins, and protects so you can feel good about going back out into the sunshine. Because I love Plymouth Soap Works’ products, I’m keeping the Forever Young Mango Butter Facial this season, because the plumping effects of their facial butter smell and feel soooo delicious.
If you’re looking for a massage-facial combo, Bella Mina’s got a special one this season: Lemongrass Massage & Cooling Sea Greens Facial. I love Lemongrass essential oil for its uplifting effects, boosting mood and reducing stress & anxiety, while Cooling Sea Greens Facial with Aurora Sea Greens Ampoule (also straight from the fridge!) soothes, balances and hydrates with magnolia and neem seed extract. The combination of moisturizing and age-defying marine products will leave you with a cool, healthy glow.
Finally, for nail services, book a Lemongrass Manicure and enjoy a cooling Aloe-based Lychee Lemongrass hand massage with warm and cool towel wrap for hands, or a Coconut Lime Pedicure with warm and cool stone massage for legs and feet plus Clean Mundi’s Vanilla Coconut Whipped Body Butter and Lime Essential Oil to lock in moisture. Leave with summer-ready beautifully polished nails.
Check out Bella Mina’s full Summer Specials menu at bellaminastudio.com/specials, and book online or call 603-208-3222. I hope all of us can balance our time between indoor and enjoyable summer outdoor activities this season, making self-care time at Bella Mina, and staying protected from the sun with Earth Harbor’s Eclipse SPF (available for purchase). Let me know if you have questions about the right balance between sun protection and getting enough sun exposure for Vitamin D intake. I like to spend lots of time in the sun, but I balance it by using SPF 30 on my face and SPF 15 on the rest of my body. If you’re more melanated than I am (if your skin is darker), you might only use a 15 SPF everywhere, or if you’re less melanated (lighter skin) you might use a 50 SPF. If you stay inside or in the shade, be sure to ask your doctor what Vitamin D supplement is right for you (I love the tasty gummy ones).
If you’d prefer to book a service from Bella Mina’s year round menu, don’t worry — we can still add special seasonal touches at no extra charge. Cool towels for manicures, pedicures and massages, and citrus, floral and pineapple oils for massage & facial aromatherapy are all free to add on so you can cool off and indulge in summer scents.
I hope you enjoy lots of fun outdoor activities this summer, and I look forward to seeing you at Bella Mina.
Sincerely,
