LET IT SNOW!

The weather outside has been frightful, but Bella Mina’s winter specials are so delightful, they’ll hopefully help you embrace the cold and snowy winter months ahead. It’s the perfect time to sit by the fire, sip hot chocolate and egg nog, watch the snow cover the ground and the trees and plan your next spa day.

Since cold weather season lasts so long up here in New Hampshire between the Lakes Region and the White Mountains, I’ve created lots of creature comforts to keep everyone warm and toasty despite the chill outside. The massage table with its memory foam topper has adjustable heat settings, oils are heated to 150 degrees with specialized oil warmer, hot towels are plentiful, and hot rice packs make your massage, facial, body treatment and nail services an opportunity to fall into a warm state of bliss. (Choose a hot rice pack to take home for only $10-$12 — they’re selling like hot cakes!)

For this winter, I decided to keep the popular and delicious scents of honey and marshmallow from the autumn. Marshmallow Body Butter with a shea butter base delivers much needed moisture for the dry months, and along with Elite Creed Natural’s Honey Oil with coconut, avocado and Vitamin E, not only make for luxurious spa treatments but are great to use at home, especially after a shower or bath when they can really sink in.

I paired the Honey Oil with Gya Labs Pine Tree Essential Oil to make Sweet Alpine spa services, to create an uplifting aroma, replenish moisture and reduce inflammation. The massage-facial combo is my favorite, and includes a Cloudberry Facial Oil, with berries from alpine forests that provide antioxidants with an earthy and grounding aroma.

With the Marshmallow Body Butter, I found Gya Labs Holiday Fig Oil to be a sumptuous pairing, a delectable match with its notes of Vanilla and Ho Wood. I also noticed so many of my clients loooove scalp and foot massage, so I created services to pay special attention and time to these areas — making your feet silky smooth, rejuvenating your scalp and leaving you with the lingering scents of marshmallow fig. If you’re looking for nail clean-up, book the Marshmallow Fig Head Hand & Foot Ritual and leave with soft hands and feet with fresh, healthy nails.

Finally, I had to create a massage with an extra boost of warmth and pain relief for the cold winter months, so I discovered Siang Pure Red Oil, a blend of clove, peppermint and camphor that sinks into the skin and aids sore muscles in letting go of tension. Combined with Elite Creed Natural’s Honey Oil and with heated rice packs for back and neck and hot towels for feet, this massage is sure to create a warming sensation to carry with you back into the cold. You can purchase Honey Oil and Siang Red Pure Oil and bring warmth and comfort home with you as well.

While you’re checking out the Winter Seasonal Menu, be sure to also take a look at Bella Mina’s newest services — Scalp Massage and Hair Masques, perfect for those seeking healthy, shiny locks or just anyone who loves a soothing, luxurious scalp massage. Refuge’s line of moisturizing, growth and repair hair masques infused with neroli, black pepper and sandalwood will leave your hair with a bouncy glow. Steam for hair and hot, dry towel wrap for head warm and soothe mind, body and soul.

Happy Holidays and Season’s Greetings! I look forward to seeing you at Bella Mina.
